This participatory session invites learners, educators, designers, and facilitators to pause and reimagine what it means to learn with intention and care. Inspired by the slow food movement and the craft of violinmaking, we’ll explore the emergence of the slow learning paradigm, born from creative collaboration, deep reflection, and a desire to reclaim time for meaningful learning in the digital age.
We’ll begin by engaging with three distinct visual metaphors for slow learning, followed by a storytelling journey through the birth of the slow learning paradigm. Then, through an interactive Mentimeter activity, participants will collectively crowdsource new “slow tools”—strategies and habits that help us slow down, deepen understanding, and make learning more inclusive.
You’ll leave with a refreshed sense of possibility, new tools to support reflective practice, and an invitation to continue the journey by exploring the book or joining a slow retreat.
