
Sybil Priebe
Sybil Priebe is the Program Coordinator for the English Dept at the North Dakota State College of Science; she’s also an Associate Professor of English & Humanities and has been teaching and the tiny but mighty community & technical college since 2005. In addition to a stint as a K12 teacher in Minnesota, she’s also taught a variety of college classes: First-Year Experience, Technical Communications, College Composition I & II, Intro to Creative Writing, Children’s Literature, World Literature, and an Introduction to Humanities course. This fall, she’ll attempt yet another new course: Intro to Literature.
Her research and teaching interests are: Open-Educational Resources and Pedagogy (OER/OEP), ungrading, accessibility, DEI, multi-modal and multi-genre projects, and blogs. She self-publishes her own teaching journals and has created 6+ OER textbooks. While she dislikes Shakespeare, she does love George Carlin and chicken nuggets. In her spare time, she collects books, bicycles, and memes.
