Dr. Angela Gunder is the CEO and founder of Opened Culture (OEC), a collaboratory advancing access to education through open collaboration, academic innovation, and community engagement. Formerly Chief Academic Officer of the Online Learning Consortium, she led global efforts in professional learning, research, and digital equity, including as OLC’s lead for the Gates-funded Every Learner Everywhere network. Her leadership in AI and open education has been recognized by UNESCO IITE, MIT Open Learning, UPCEA (for digital learning leadership), and MERLOT (for open education innovation). She teaches courses on instructional design, digital media, and AI at the University of Arizona, and her research focuses on remix practices, digital literacies, and culturally affirming learning design.
