Despite the benefits of peer teaching in language classes for enhancing student learning and autonomy, the fact that students are using teacher-developed activities during peer teaching has always been a drawback. This presentation will show how AI is used in peer teaching to help peer teachers (i.e. students) develop activities for their colleagues. It also presents student perceptions of benefits and challenges of using AI as part of peer teaching experience on their learning. The presentation is followed by a short A1 peer teaching Arabic language session where participants in groups are encouraged to use AI to develop peer teaching activities about the weather and discuss its effect on their learning.
