What are some ethical concerns about neurodiverse students use generative AI programs to help with their education? This presentation will discuss how ND students might use gen AI to help with their coursework and some of the concerns that might pop up between students and faculty over this gen AI use.
• Start with a quick definition of ND diagnoses and perhaps a poll of what people are familiar with.
• Small group discussion about ethical concerns around AI use in the writing classroom.
• Large group discussion of their ideas
• Me discussing AI as assistive tech for students
• Small group time for faculty to reconsider where AI use might benefit students in their own courses or assignments and how to move the discussion away from cheating and more toward assistive help
