Themes & Topics

The aim of this session is to showcase the seamless integration of AI-powered language learning platforms within Arabic language education. By demonstrating specific tools and technologies, that will illuminate how educators can leverage AI to enhance both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. The presentation will go beyond theoretical discussions, offering tangible examples of how these technologies can be effectively incorporated into traditional classroom settings to solve some problems of language diversity. This serves to engage the audience with practical insights into the transformative potential of AI in language education. I will also emphasize the adoption of a translanguaging approach as a pedagogical strategy. Translanguaging involves leveraging students’ proficiency in one language to facilitate the development of weaker language varieties. Through a blend of theoretical frameworks and practical strategies, the presentation aims to empower teachers to bridge the gap between Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. This approach not only enhances language development but also provides a holistic language learning experience.
