What happens if microcredentialing meets Higher Education? How far can we push our systems? How do we support non-traditional students while responding to a rapidly changing disciplinary field? What does flexibility look like from a social justice perspective?
In this session, we’ll use two thinking tools – Veletsianos and Houlden’s concept of radical flexibility and Nancy Fraser’s concept of participatory parity to explore how you can make your learning designs more radically flexible and socially just.
We draw on our experiences with designing the PGDip in Blended and Online learning, offered by the University of Cape Town, to highlight strategies for achieving more flexible and just learning.
