As we have been learning about, experimenting with, teaching about, using and critiquing AI, we have become interested in considering it through a relational lens: how might use of AI affect our relationships? How might it change the ways we connect with and relate to other people or to other living or non-living entities around us? What kinds of relationships may we be developing with AI tools, and with ourselves as we use or opt not to use them?
This exploratory conversation, based on a framework of more-than-human relationality, will raise more questions than provide answers. Through guided prompting, thought-provoking questions and short activities, it will be an opportunity to reflect on human and non-human relationality and the implications of Generative AI on how we understand and engage in relationship building.
