Heba holds the position of Senior Director of Assessment and Accreditation at the American University in Cairo. She also teaches a variety of courses in the Rhetoric and Composition Department and in the CORE Curriculum. Her research interests include assessment, communicative teaching, and teacher training. Heba is an AUC alumnus with an MA in Applied Linguistics and a BS in Engineering. Her background in engineering and education, and her 20+ years of teaching experience have given her a unique combination of skills. She grew up in Canada to Egyptian parents, giving her a distinctive blend of both cultures.
