Meanwhile Netprov Studio, directed by Mark C. Marino and Rob Wittig, has produced imaginative, collaborative, digital story-making projects for over a decade. Netprov is internet improv – collaborative, real-time role playing in writing, image, and performance. Our Featured Players and casual players are located around the world. The more than 30 Meanwhile Studio netprovs have included: #1WeekNoTech where players pretend to go without devices for a week… and complain to high heaven about it in their feeds; Thermophiles in Love, which combined a live action role play with an online dating site for extremophiles (lonely and somewhat horny microorganisms); SpeidiShow where Mark and Rob collaborated with reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag to build real buzz around a bizarre (and imaginary) Reality TV show; and Grace, Wit, and Charm, which combined online interaction with live improv shows. Rob’s book Netprov contains history and recipes to inspire your own netprovs, and it’s free online. https://www.fulcrum.org/concern/monographs/pc289m47x
