Emerge Book Circles is excited to partner with My Fest 2025 to support some of its attendees to read deeper in community with others, through its book circle model.
What is a book circle?
A book circle is an intersection of learning and community building — it’s collaborative and transformational learning rolled into one. It’s human connection through books.
Participating in a book circle allows participants to engage in ongoing generative conversations with peers; step back from the day to day to see the bigger picture, challenge their assumptions, re-envision how they work and live, learn with and from one another, create deeper human connections, and so much more.
The book acts as the platform and the subject-matter expert, and the facilitator as the bridge between consuming and creating, by way of connected learning. Unlike traditional learning and development structures, the goal is not to teach or deliver content, but to create space for wisdom to emerge from within the individuals and the group.
This year we will be hosting one co-facilitated book circle on the book “Burnout from Humans”.
The sessions will be on:
- June 17th at 3:30pm Cairo/2:30pm CET/8:30am EST (Session duration: 90 minutes)
- June 24th at 3:30pm Cairo/2:30pm CET/8:30am EST (Session duration: 90 minutes)
- July 1st at 3:30pm Cairo/2:30pm CET/8:30am EST (Session duration: 90 minutes)
- July 22nd at 3:30pm Cairo/2:30pm CET/8:30am EST (Session duration: 90 minutes)
These sessions will NOT be open to the whole of MYFest, and will be hosted on a separate Zoom link, so please know that in advance. A cohort of the same participants creates a more connected learning experience.
This includes a separate registration that is posted in the first two iterations of this event on the schedule. Registration is capped so if you aren’t able to register anymore, it is because all spaces have been filled.
Please click on the facilitator’s name in the session info to view their bio.
