I am a transnational English language (teacher) educator and scholar currently employed at the American University in Cairo. Raised in Tanzania, I have spent most of my adult life in Egypt, and am mother to three bicultural daughters. I enjoy exploring and developing alternative ways of knowing, doing, and becoming in my work to promote criticality, social justice and belonging in the classroom and workplace. My research mainly revolves around identity exploration in language teacher education and professional development. I hold a PhD in Composition and Applied Linguistics.
